This section deals with ancient medical practices and also explains how these techniques in due course of Time evolved to the present day technology. In the days of Mahabharata and after the practice of medicine and the science related to it was a had been very well practiced as a profession.
An analysis through the materials of the Vedas reveal that the Atharva Veda is deemed to be an encyclopedia for various aspects and specially that of the Medicine. The "Sushrutha Samhitha" (after Mahabharata from 1000 BC to 600 BC) shows the greatness of "Sushrutha" known by the title "Father of Surgery" and describes 300 surgical procedures, 120 surgical instruments and classifies the Human Surgery into 8 categories.

Test-Tube Babies
The first thought which comes to our mind is about the 100 Kauravas that too from one Mother. It was all about the Advanced Technology which in modern days we term as "test-tube Babies". We all know that Gandhari was blessed with the boon of one Hundred sons by the great Sage, Ved Vyasa. According to the Myth, Gandhari was pregnant for two years. Many people feared that Ganghari will fail to give birth to any of the children. When once Gandhari failed to continue with a labour of more than two years of pregnancy, she started to beat her Womb in her frustration for which she delivered a massive ball of flesh. Distraught, she sought the help of the same Sage, Ved Vyasa who blessed her with the boon. The Sage cut the massive mass into 100 parts and fermented them in jars under the condition which was suitable for the development of a zygote into an embryo at that time and thus the Kauravas were born at the suitable time. This situation can be compared to In-Vitro Fertilization where both the gametes are fertilized in an external container to conceive a Baby.

Learning in the Womb
In Mahabharata, it was said that Abhimanyu was a born warrior who knew the strategy to enter the "Chakra Vyuha" from the time when he was in his Mother’s womb. According to the myths one night when Subhadra was struggling to sleep while Anhimanyu was yet to take birth, Arjuna decided to narrate her the story for "How to enter the Chakra Vyuha" and described all the methods of entering through the 6 gates in brief regarding the same. But when he was done narrating the whole 7th gate of the "Chakra Vyuha" which was about the exit of it, Subhadra was deep asleep. It is said that Abhimanyu learnt to enter through the 6 gates but failed to know about the 7th gate because Subhadra fell asleep. Now we think how can it be possible that a child who was not even born can learn such skills being in the Mother’s womb. In recent researches, Dr. Makoto Shichida in his book "Right Brain Education in Infancy" says that the right side of the brain is active during the gestation period. Furthermore the right brain is the centre for Extra-Sensory Perception(ESP). He also added that the unborn baby uses the cells of his developing body to gain the information about the outside World around him and transmits to the right side of his brain.

Cloning
In Ramayana, when Luv was born to Lady Sita, she accidentally misplaced him in the forest and then it was Sage Valmiki who cloned Kush out of a grass blade to pacify the anguish of Lady Sita. It is also said that Sita’s father, King Janaka was also cloned from King Nimi’s dead body.

*Organ Transplantation*
Organ transplantation is the moving of an organ from one body to another from a donor site to another location on the person’s own body or to replace the recipient’s damaged or absent organ. According to the Myths when once Lord Shiva beheaded Lord Ganesha unaware of the fact that he was his son, he managed to revive him to pacify her anger by placing an elephant head on his trunk thus rectifying his mistake. Before April, 2015 most of us thought that it was just a myth and never possible. But after that Valery Spiridonov, a 31-year old Russian software development manager who suffered from a debilitating muscle-wasting disease which was to kill him one day, was volunteered to be the first person to undergo a head transplant, through Canavero’s project. This process was estimated to last about 36hours where his head was to be cooled down to 12 degree Centigrade, cut off from his body and connected to the donated body of a brain-dead person to re-establish spinal-nerves function.

All these record proves that our Mythology was not only an mere imagination but a history which took place thousands of years ago and the technology during that period was way-more advanced than ours.
